Turner’s Youth Tenpin Bowlers from Dual Lanes and Pikeside Bowl qualified for the Pepsi State Finals via the Pepsi Regional Tournament on February 28, 2022 at Dual Lanes. The State Finals were held at Bowlero in Columbia, MD on April 2 & 3 with twenty-three bowlers advancing. Two Dual Lanes bowlers became State Champs, and one rolled a perfect 300 game. Aliyah Dent in the U10 girls’ division and Brenna McTighe in the U15 girls’ division were crowned “State Champs”, earned $800.00 each in scholarship money and an entry into the USBC Junior Gold Tournament July 15-23 in Grand Rapids MI. Jordan Brown bowling in the U18 Boys division rolled a 300 game, his second perfect game in three weeks. CAREER HIGH FOR YEATES / FIRST PERFECT GAME FOR WILSON
Travis Yeates (L) bowling in the Terry Bloom Memorial Mixed Tenpin League rolled games of 299, 278 & 238 for his career high set of 815 and Brandon Wilson bowling in the Monday Mixed Tenpin League rolled his first career perfect 300 game. The perfect effort game came between games of 202 & 233 for a 735 set. For bowling a set 800+, Travis will receive a plaque and $50.00 & $25.00 for the 299 near perfect game from Dual Lanes and for the perfect game, Brandon will receive a plaque and $100.00 from Dual Lanes. Both bowlers will receive recognition from the Franklin County Bowling Association and the United States Bowling Congress.
