SYKES WINS WNDA FRANK TURNER DUCKPIN CLASSIC & SETS WORLD RECORD

amy 5-29-16 183Amy Sykes earned her 20th “STAR” Memorial Weekend in the WNDA portion of the Frank Turner Duckpin Classic at Dual Lanes. Sykes made the top 24 of the 43 entries by tossing a seven (7) game total of 977 in the qualifying round. She was unbeaten during her five (5) games of match play by tossing games of 170, 178, 171, 201 & 162 for the WORLD RECORD SET of 882 topping her old mark of 877 which she set in 2005. Then, she tossed games of 201, 149 & 203 to defeat all three of her opponents in the bracket finals to earn the $3000.00 first place paycheck. Her eight (8) game total of 1435 during the match play semi finals and the bracket finals was an amazing 179 average. carterJoe Carter Jr. bowling in the Wacky Rollers Mixed Tenpin League tossed games of 266, 258 & 289 for a career high set of 813 to earn a plaque and $75.00 in Dual Lanes House Awards. $50.00 for the 800 set & $25.00 for bowling 171 pins over his 214 average for set. The following week, Joe tossed games of 276, 256 & 267 for a 799 set to earn a $25.00 Dual Lanes House Award for bowling a set 775-799.

taylor 4-18-16 004Dual Lanes Youth Tenpin Bowler Taylor Forman is # 1 in the state.

Taylor, the top average youth female at Dual Lanes was tops in the Antietam Youth Tenpin Bowling Association Top Average Invitational Tournament on January 31st (click on tournaments for scores) to earn a spot in the Maryland State Average Invitational. Taylor qualified in the # 2 position of the 20 girls who participated and won both stepladder matches to become # 1 in the state and earn $200.00 in scholarship money. CAREER HIGH FOR NAVE

jeremy 4-12-16 001Jeremy Nave bowling in the Richard Pentz Men’s League tossed 33 out of a possible 36 strikes with games of 300, 279 & 267 for a career high 846 set which was 150 pins over his 232 average for set.
For bowling 150 pins over his average, Jeremy will receive a $25.00 Dual Lanes House Award.
